Page Hedden Wilson will present dramatic portraits of three women who have been First Ladies in the White House:  Mary Todd Lincoln, Dolly Madison and Edith Wilson.

Monday, October 21, 1996 TREASURES IN YOUR ATTIC

Robert Gloss of Brattle Books in Boston will reveal how the value of an old book is determined.  Bring your books to the meeting for appraisal.

Wednesday, November 20, 1996 TEXTILES AND THEIR PLACE IN NEW ENGLAND HISTORY

Karin Coponask, Curator of the Old Slater Mill Historic Site, will be talkng about hte coming of the textile industry to New England.

Thursday, January 23, 1997 PUTTING A PRICE ON YOUR FAMILY KEEPSAKES

Nancy Coyle of Coyle's Appraisals, Bellingham, will give free appraisals of your keepsakes.  If your piece is large, bring a photograph.

Monday, February 24, 1997 THE ART OF CUTTING:  THE TAILOR'S CRAFT IN 18TH CENTURY NEW ENGLAND

Henry M. Cook, Gentleman Tailor, will give a full characterization of his craft, attired as a tailor of the mid-18th century.

Wednesday, April 2, 1997 THE BAKER CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Historian, Anthony Sammarco, will lecdture on the Baker family Chocolate Factory founded in 1780 in Dorchester, Mass.

Thursday, May 1, 1997 RAILROADS AND THEIR PLACE IN MASSACHUSETTS HISTORY

Charles Bahne, railroad historian, will lecture on the impact of the arrival of railroads in Massachusetts.  (Trains ran through Wrentham in the 1800's and Mr. Bahne will touch on this in his talk.)
